Sean and Cheyenne Zigmund own and operate Root N' Roost Farm, a small-scale permaculture-based farm in Catskills, New York. Over the years, they have worked with their land, animals and interns to naturally produce organic vegetables, herbs, flowers, fruits and meats. This has since evolved and scaled down to a homestead home as they raise and focus on their two children, Escher and Keisha. It is very important for the Zigmunds to be just as hands-on with their children as they are with their land as they continue to be as self-sustainable as possible.

As our generation pushes for more technology, innovation and modernity, our connection to the natural world suffers. I had the pleasure of meeting Sean and Cheyenne when I attended the Eddie Adams Workshop. They are truly passionate advocates for sustainable living.
